Our story
Hi, I'm Shaz – mum of five, grandmother of four, former truck driver, and proud owner of Art and Soul Studio.
My journey into the art world wasn’t exactly traditional. I grew up a free-spirited kid in Roseville, wore tie-dye before it was cool, and spent 25+ years running a removals business in the Hills District. Yes – high-vis, heavy lifting, and happy clients were my everyday life. But as the years rolled on (and the knees started to ache), I knew it was time for a new adventure.
In 2020, we moved to Killarney Heights and stumbled upon this little gem of a studio just around the corner. It felt like a full-circle moment – back to creativity, back to colour, and back to doing what I love: art.
Now, I get to wear tie-dye again – this time as a badge of joy – while sharing my passion for art, ceramics, and kids' creativity with the community. Whether it's little hands covered in paint or adults rediscovering their creative spark, Art and Soul is where everyone belongs.
Come say hello, we’d love to meet you.
— Shaz

Eva
From a young age, Eva has been immersed in the world of art. With her mother formerly running ‘My Kids Art’, Eva grew up surrounded by creativity, exploring, and experimenting with artistic expression. Starting as a student, then a helper, and now a teacher, she knows the Art & Soul studio environment inside and out.
After graduating from Mosman High School, Eva pursued her passion for making at TAFE NSW, where she discovered a deep love for silversmithing. This led to the creation of her own jewellery brand, Whateva, where she designs and handcrafts unique, organic-style pieces.
Eva now shares her passion with others, teaching art and jewellery to students from primary through to high school, as well as adults.
